NRG Battle Finale

The International NRG Battle is an annual event where multidisciplinary student teams  meet and compete  to develop sustainable energy solutions for international companies.

Two MIC teams made it to the finals of the NRG Battle which were held on November 23 in Groningen during the Energy Delta Convention. In total, 15 teams competed against each other. Unfortunately, the MIC teams did not win the event, but it was an amazing experience.

Our finalists worked for:

GASTERRA: stakeholder engagement campaign called “The Language of Energy” (how to organize a more effective way of knowledge sharing?). From the jury comment: “An innovative solution for the knowledge dissemination challenges of an energy company”.

SIEMENS: campaign to postion a CO2 processor – the STC-ECO- as an attractive alternative to conventional compressor designs. On this case, MIC students worked with civil engineering students from TU Enschede.
